mgetty

comms/mgetty+sendfax には、 ppp 受信 + FAX 受信 (mgetty) FAX 送信 (sendfax) の機能がありますが、ここでは そのうちの FAX 受信だけを設定してみます。

/usr/pkg/etc/mgetty+sendfax に設定します。

実際の内容は次のようなものです。fax-id には 自分の電話番号を設定しておきます。

/etc/mail/aliases

/etc/mail/aliases に次のような行を書いておくと、着信のお知らせメール を受け取れます。 
faxadmin:       myaddress@example.com
/var/spool/fax/incoming に保存されますので、例えば、
% sudo g32pbm fn4500xxxx > ~/fax/1.pbm
のようにすると pbm 形式になり、これを gimp で開ければ、そのまま A4 に印刷が可能 です。
